René is a Stockholm-based product designer, currently crafting social experiences at Spotify. Before that, he was at Hugo & Marie, working with clients like The Row, Saint Laurent and STUDIOTWENTYSEVEN.
Hello there! I will keep this part short and simple. I’m René, an Anglo-Swede with roots in the Middle East. I love Joni Mitchell, the earthy smell of rain and RuneScape more than anything. And I’m also a designer! Of all sorts of things, across all sorts of mediums. As long as I get to tell a story and make an impact.
I’m currently a product designer at Spotify, working with some really talented folks across product, insights and engineering to tinker on some really cool social experiences and sharing experiences. For example, I recently worked on the latest Spotify integration on TikTok that changed how artists and fans connect, and the new Spotify AR lens that can be shared to Spotify.
My craft and design sensibility is rooted in playfulness, experimentation and asking for forgiveness over asking for permission.
